This coming Wednesday, April 17th begins the regular NLI signing period for college basketball. With three scholarships now available for the 2019 class after freshman Duncan Demuth entered his name into the transfer portal, the Cowboys are going to be very active. Here's the latest on the names to keep an eye on:Big Man Doudou Gueye to Visit this WeekendOne of the Cowboys' top targets is set to make an official visit to Stillwater this weekend; JUCO forward Doudou Gueye. The 6-9, 220-pound forward from Daytona State College would not only fill an immediate hole vacated by Duncan Demuth, he's in a better position to provide real help off the bench. He was a stretch big last season where he accounted for 11 points and 7.4 rebounds per-game, and shot a very respectable 38.2% from three. The Senegal native has offers from five schools; Oklahoma State, Arkansas, Texas Tech, Seton Hall, and East Carolina. According to GoPokes.com, the Cowboys could have a leg up in landing Gueye thanks to the hiring of new assistant coach Erik Pastrana.Something that's going to help Oklahoma State try and land Gueye is new assistant coach Erik Pastrana. Pastrana was hired away from Florida Atlantic, but before his time at FAU https://www.aroutletstore.com/Ladarrius_Bishop_Jersey-46, he was the Head Coach at Daytona State College and was the one that brought Gueye in to play at DSC.Oklahoma State has Yor Anei and Cam McGriff returning next season and will add Kalib Boone. They need additional big man depth, making Gueye a priority. Throw in the fact that he is immediately eligible and has two years of eligibility remaining, and OSU is sure to do everything they can to land his commitment this weekend.Harris Jr. to Visit Texas TechSpeaking of top targets, Chris Harris Jr. is making his official visit to Texas Tech this weekend.OSU and Texas Tech look to be the two teams in the lead on Harris right now, though 247 experts, including Evan Daniels, give the Cowboys' the edge Montaric Brown Jersey. It makes sense. Harris and his family reportedly really enjoyed their visit to Stillwater back in March. Plus, he is really tight with current Cowboy Isaac Likelele.Of course, Tech has one of the hottest head coaches in the country and is coming off not only back-to-back elite eight appearances, but a title game appearance and likely a second straight season with a first round draft pick. The wild card here is Texas AM, who Harris originally signed with. They have a new head coach in Buzz Williams who is a heck of a recruiter, coach, and player developer. Williams never recruited Harris at Virginia Tech, but if he and the new coaching staff come after Harris, they could convince him to recommit.I think OSU is still in the driver's seat, but this weekend's visits to Lubbock should officially start to wrap up Harris' recruitment process.Could Calloo Return? One of the three players kicked off the team after an act of vandalism could make a return.According to Pistol Firing Blog's Kyle Boone, Maurice Calloo could come back to Stillwater.A source told Pistols Firing Blog this week that Maurice Calloo could return to the team Josh Oglesby Jersey. Calloo committed to Cleveland State days after his dismissal. But as more information is gathered about the incident, more people believe Calloo was simply in the wrong place at the wrong time with the wrong crowd. As a source close to Calloo told PFB: "He wasn't the one who shot the gun. Guilty by association. They dismissed him because he would not tell on the others."If it really was a case of "wrong place, wrong time," it would be good to see Calloo get a second chance in Stillwater. Plus, the freshman showed progress during the season, and would provide immediate help and depth at the forward position. Calloo averaged 10.8 minutes per game off the bench last season before he was kicked off the team.Calloo is reportedly taking a visit to Nebraska this weekend, so this all may be a moot point. But I for one hope the kid has a second chance at OSU.
